Manic Monday

Today yet again is Monday
There is so much to do...
but yet so little time

This weekend was amazing,
(in which I will explain later)
:)
Now, since I do not work today...
it will consist of my classes, chapel,
getting ready/attempting to work out
finishing some bows, and laundry, and catching up on
GOSSIP GIRL!

Now... in order to do all of this,
this song helps me out and clears me head
Because it REMINDS ME!

Certified!

So today after a much a long awaited day... I got certified through AIA so I can now be an official cheer coach. I took two tests and sat in a room filled with 40 other people and learned all the rules about Cheerleading! I feel so official and grown up, here I am 20 and going to be a cheer coach for a high school. Wow... life goes super fast!

I want to be like Sue Sylvester, and have a megaphone and yell at the girls and make sure my program is bomb!

Update...

Wow, it truly has been forever since I last updated this blog of mine. I was on such a good role posting almost everyday... then reality hit.
Here is an update what has happened.
I started school, I can now say I am in in my Junior year of college. OMG, that is a big reality checker. Man life is just flying by and it keep going faster and faster and not wanting to slow down.

I am loving living here, I have met so many new people, but yet also expanding on the friendships that were not so strong before... For instance, these two people.

I have known them for years and then all of a sudden we are the 3 Musketeers... it is pretty funny!

Then I got a coaching position for my old high school cheerleading squad. Which that has taken most of my time up. I love every moment of it, I have always loved cheer and so doing this is exciting and I look forward to going to practices and games to help them.

So pretty much that is my life in a nutshell.

Summer wind-down

Man yesterday was the mark of only one more month till school starts back up for me. I am really excited for this year. Many new exciting things are in store; for example: I am moving into my very first apartment (no more dorm life) with an amazing person who I loved since the moment I met her! I am ready to decorate and just make it mine and actually have room instead of a little bedroom that I share... I am excited for school, which is a change because I am now down with my gen. ed's so I am starting on my core classes which is the reason I chose this major because I find it so fascinating. Also in store for this year is Younglife, in my area we are breaking out two new teams and I am on one of them; the Millenium and Verrado team! Seeing the leader list for my team was amazing, I love and am excited for each and everyone of them. I will be a cool and new thing to experience which makes me super stoked for it. It is crazy to realize that life is moving forward I am getting older and becoming a grownup (slowly but surely).
I know that this is the place where I am suppose to be for now and that God has amazing plans and ideas in store for me. I just have to focus and prepare for them!

On a side- note my goal is to update my blog as much as possible and to take pictures and really make it mine! But in the mean time I have been looking at some decorating ideas and I have found some cute ideas that I would like to use....

Flowers and anything colorful, to me it brightens up the room. I feel it also describes my personality, so many things colorful and I have a few ideas using flowers just like these also!

I wish to be more organized... in which that is one of my main tasks this year and to keep my room and such clean and pretty!

I want to come up with a theme or color scheme, in which makes my room look amazing!

Prayers for Mamma

Hey guys, I just wanted to fill you in on a little bit about my life. My mom lost her job back last January (all because she did a lesson on banned music and showed some clips and lyrics of music that is controversial). It has a been a tough and interesting ride to say the least. I have not really talked about this with many people, and even those people do not know the full extent as to what we are going through. This summer has been a great one because I have gotten so much closer to my family and I have gained so much more respect for them, but it is still one of the hardest summers also. We have had to make some/many sacrifices with things. She is trying and has filled out countless amounts of applications for everything. She is trying and trying but nothing seems to be working. She is undeceive on where to go. she really wants to move to Colorado to be closer to family and be back where she grew up, and also to have male role-models in my brothers life.
Meanwhile, my brother is about to start high school this fall, and he does not want to leave high school once he starts. (Which I do not blame him). But with my brother starting high school, my mom is trying to move to Colorado where we are from. But even up there she is not finding much, and I can see the stress on her and it kills me. So I am just asking for you all to just keep her in your prayers and to ask God for peace within our family and help her find a job so she does not feel stressed and can take a breather (because she truly deserves it). I am truly blessed by this whole experience because through this we have gotten much closer as a family.

I really appreciate my mom, she does so much for me and my brother; and watching her go through this time in life is hard and uncontrollable but I know that we will eventually get out of it. Because of this whole ordeal I am more aware of my money and where I am putting it and trying to be more wise with it. And I am looking forward to this upcoming year to see how I will do with that. But I am asking for your prayers and thoughts with my mom, that something will open up and work out very soon!

Never say NEVER

So this summer is coming to a close, and I can say that it was a great one! I have done and experienced so many different things; and to think that it is not quite yet over. For me. my summer began just being at home relaxing and working everyday. Which was not bad because I still feel I had a summer (well kind of). But it allowed me to get to know and hang out with some pretty cool girls at work. They made going to work so fun and enjoyable. So a couple weeks passed and I got the opportunity to take some high schoolers to Lost Canyon for the best week of their lives and share Jesus with them. That week, our cabin full of girls just bonded and got super close. I love each and every one of them, and I am so excited to lead them these next few years and really reach and poor into them. After I came back from having a ball with the high schoolers.

I went back to work for a few weeks.... During these few weeks I was spending some much needed time with my family, getting ready for what is to come, and just hanging out with some pretty awesome friends. Then June 8th came around, and I got to get away for a little vacation back to Lost Canyon and work for the lord and just meet and serve some pretty awesome campers. These three weeks, blew me away I was astonished about how close I felt with God and how he placed some AMAZING people into my life. Who knew in three weeks I could bond and grow in a community with people that opened me up. This was most definitely the highlight of my summer. It was well worth the three weeks I lost in work/ pay. And most definitely worth leaving the Phoenix heat for a little while.

I came back and had to deal with the 'real life' of working again. But yet when I was getting sad at the fact I had to go back to work, God put those wonderful ladies at work back into my life and they helped me out so much. We even got the opportunity to have a little bonding with a sleep over! Who knew that work friends could actually be more than just at work? So now here it is the last week of July, and I am preparing for the upcoming school year, buying furniture and things for my very first apartment, and still enjoying every bit of the summer. I wanted to share a few pictures of what I got to experience this summer. Yes, I know that my summer was not filled with all these trips to different countries or anything spectacular but it was filled with love and friends and that is what made this summer so great and extraordinary.

Lost Canyon 2011

This past week I had the privilege of taking some girls to camp. It was one of my hardest but yet most rewarding weeks of my life. I have been to camp a number of times as a camper and as a leader. But none of those times have ever felt like a true leader. Well this year I actually did feel like one. Those girls in my cabin became apart of my life. Some of the girls stories that they shared with me, really broke my heart to hear of all the hardships and troubles that they have experienced and at a young age. I truly believe that this past week has changed me for the better. I came back with a greater understanding and love for life, ministry, my family, and my brokenness. I feel that God is doing some amazing things through me, like I am actually learning how to forgive and love everyone (even those who have hurt me). Hearing those girls stories just made my heart ache for my brother who is just a year younger than a few of those girls, in which made me realize how the world is affecting kids at a younger and younger age. But overall camp was great and I am so happy that I got to be apart of.

During camp, there is a moment where we sit for fifteen minutes. Now this time is with us and God in which we can do whatever we choose. So during my time, I reflected this past year and seeing all the changes and paths that God has put me on. For instance, randomly changing schools during summer, meeting and being in a great community of friends, going back into ministry and last but certainly not least my walk with Christ. When I thought about all the great things that have happened in the past year, it just boggles my mind to see how quickly everything can change overnight. So I am excited what is in store for me this upcoming year. Also the camp singer, Ryan Long was amazing. He shared some stories about his life, that I just connected with and I felt blessed to connect with him and learn how he overcame those obstacles. Also his music just stuck with me and I really connected to the lyrics.

I just feel really blessed and on fire for God. I have not felt this strongly coming back from camp since my first camp experience. I feel like I am being trained to lead and I am actually learning how to do it properly also. Now upcoming this summer, I am excited… I get to serve at Lost Canyon for three weeks and with some pretty cool people I might as well add. So I am ready for the summer and ready for this upcoming year, and I am actually ready for what is in store for me! :)

Beautiful

So this week, month, year has been amazing and I have gained and learned so much! I look back at last year, last month, last week... and I feel I am not the same person. I grown each and every day! I am so blessed to be in the presence of God and to be loved by him. He has opened up my life completely! I cannot share exactly how I am feeling, I look back at this year and all the people in my life.. WHOA! It is crazy to see all the amazing, strong-willed, and loving people who I am able to call friends. Each one has blessed me and has touched me in a way.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending the rock and roll show, which was a bunch of different Christian bands... there were two songs that hit me like dang Aubrey.... I need to listen to these songs at least once a day! One of them is Beautiful by Mercy Me!
Before they performed this song, the lead singer said that all girls should listen to this and know that they are special, since in today's society all people tell us is what we need to work on and improve on... and really it just knocks us down and we cannot fully love ourselves. So I pray and hope that every girl hears this message and knows that they are loved, special, and BEAUTIFUL!

The other song that spoke to my heart, was Shelter by Jars of Clay. It talks about community and having amazing people around us. One of my favorite moments of the night was when this song came on, and a few of us took hands and stood up and just moved in sync with each other. I truly realized then on that these are great people and how blessed I have found people like these amazing women of God. I am so glad that God spoke to me, and had to attend GCU to meet these people and get close with them.

"In the shelter of each other we will live, we will live."

Here is a bible verse that I stumbled upon today... Hope it brings some joy to your life today!
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when hopes are realized at last, there is life and joy." Proverbs 13:12
